The Bowie Sun is an online newspaper founded in 2021 in response to declining news coverage of Bowie, Maryland.

Although several news outlets already provide countywide or regional coverage, none are laser-focused on the city of Bowie. As the largest city in Prince George’s County, Bowie deserves consistent news coverage of its neighborhood associations, city committees and city government.
